Simple Carb

Simple carbs are foods that contain sugar. For instance, if you want to lose weight, avoid these foods. The reason is once your body digests the sugar, the body will crave more. For example, when eating simple carbs, the body will absorb these foods much faster. For instance, have you ever found yourself craving something sweet after dinner? At first, you feel full. But shortly after, you want something sweet. As a result, you consume more calories.

  • Concentrate juices
  • Deserts and pastries
  • Candie
  • White rice, bread, and pasta

Not all simple carbs are bad; let us take a look at fresh fruit and milk products. Fruit contains an all-natural sugar and filled with lots of vitamins, the same as milk products. However, if you want to lose weight and get rid of fat, it will slow your results.

What are Complex Carbs?

Complex Carb

Complex carbs are different from simple carbs. The reason is they mostly contain fiber and are low in sugars. Foods that are high in fiber help the body to stay full longer between meals.  In other words, it gives you the energy your body needs, but without having that sudden crash of tiredness and hunger. For example, have you ever felt that sudden burst of energy after eating something sweet and sugary? Then an hour later, you feel tired?

Complex Carbohydrate Examples:

  • vegetables
